RESIDENTIAL LIMITED LIFETIME

WARRANTY FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC A RESIDENTIAL POLYUREA BROADCOAST COATING
SYSTEMS WARRANTY

FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC represents and warrants that the materials have been cured and tested in accordance with standard ISO 9001 (2015) quality control standards. When installed by FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC and/or its authorized installer(s), the materials are warranted for the lifetime of the coating against discoloration from UV exposure and for 15 years with respect to delamination, peeling, chipping, and/or blistering of the coating. The sole liability is limited to replacement of any product shown to perform otherwise than as warranted as a Residential Limited Lifetime Warranty. As indicated, this Warranty is applicable to residential applications only and applies to the material at its original place of installation. The Warranty shall be void if the materials are installed in violation of applicable local codes or ordinances, or if installed in a particular situation not intended for the product use. The Warranty also includes the following terms/restrictions:

1. This Warranty does not apply to damages to the coatings by physical abuse, failure of the substrate, vandalism, modifications to the substrate, mechanical impact damage, exposure to solvents or acids, natural disaster, nails, screws, or acts of God.

2. This Warranty does not apply to damage caused by hydrostatic water problems, rust from re bar penetrating through the coating, moisture vapor permeating the concrete slab, or exposure to either battery acid or brake fluid.

3. This Warranty does not apply to delamination caused by improper substrate condition or internal failure of the substrate.

4. This Warranty does not apply to damages caused by cracks in the substrate prior to or occurring after the installation of the floor coating system that may appear from ground shift and/or expansion/contraction of the concrete. Areas repaired under this Warranty could vary in color or texture.

5. Products will be applied on a properly prepared surface in accordance with product specifications and application procedures. Proper concrete surface preparation is achieved by using grinding machines that remove all previous coatings, sealers, laitance, efflorescence, water repellents, grease, wax, and/or any other impediment to adhesion. The resulting receiving surface will have a profile of 20 to 50 grit.

6. This Warranty becomes effective only upon payment in full to FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC for all outstanding charges relating to the project.

7. This Warranty does not apply to salt water applications or an application in which corrosive chemicals are introduced.

8. FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC does not warrant that the coating system will create a slip free surface. The surface may become slippery under certain conditions including but not limited to exposure to wet, oily, or greasy conditions. In no event shall FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC be responsible for injury incurred in a slip and fall occurrence. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide for their own safety and the safety of their guests. In the event of a claim under this Warranty, promptly contact FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC or the installer(s) whom the surface was installed and purchased, supply the type of material, date of purchase, and a description of the problem/issue. In the event of reporting to an installer(s) if the installer is for any reason not available, call or write FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC at the address listed on this Warranty. Following notification, send coating samples and photos to FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC at the address listed below.

FORTRESS FLOORS, LLC reserves the right at all times to inspect the claim defective material and verify warranty coverage. This Warranty shall be limited to replacement materials to the original purchaser of the product cost as determined by the amount of replacement materials required to repair or replace the defective product. The customer shall be responsible for the remainder of any cost of installation or product price increase over and above the original purchase price.
